Nico is a rare BLACK PEARL gene colt. There are only a hand full of gypsy cobs in the world that have this color gene. Foaled Feb. 5 2009. Sired by Desert Jewel Mystery and DJ Lenny. His dam Mystery is a smoky black pearl out of Villa Vanners Clononeen Romeo and Clononeen Airne (also a black pearl). We are very excited to have this little guy with us. Nico has a single black pearl gene with no creme gene so the pearl is hidden. If Nico is bred to palomino, buckskin or smoke black you have a chance of getting the smokey black pearl. So you would have a chance of getting a horse that would look like DJ Mystery or DJ Chardonney with the lovely amber eyes! Nico is going to be very interesting to watch grow.
