Black Pearl's Calcifer **SOLD**

On May 21, 2009 our mare LaCroix gave birth to this strikingly beautiful colt! He is sired bySD Rebel. He is the most charming colt with his blue eyes, mostly white in color with one black ear and one white. It is said by the Rom that a black and then white ear is very lucky!  Calcifer is so funny  and sweet. He was falling asleep has we were imprinting him. He kept nodding off as I was patting the bottom of his hooves. Calcifer is super stout in build. He loves being around people. When there is a human in the field he is never to far away. With his great conformation, lovely personality, sky blue eyes and unique coloring it dosen't leave much to wish for. His feather is coming in very nicely.

 All the horses in this field have sanded off most of their manes. They are firm believers in "The grass is always  greener on the other side". So,  spend their days sticking heads through the fence to eat the grass along the other side of the  fence.  Very annoying but can't seem to stop them without replacing most of the fence.

Just had a spray to cool him down. Now he must go roll somewhere.


Calcifer loves to have his back side scratched or sprayed with the hose. So, when we have a heavy rain he keeps backing up looking for a nice back scratch. He will just keep backing up into the rain loving every moment of it. He is so silly.
